Lessons are available on our well-schooled horses from 9.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
In order to assist us in giving you the best possible riding experience, please complete the attached booking form at your earliest convenience. On the day of your first lesson, we request that you arrive at least 10 minutes early to allow yourself time to complete our release of liability form and to have your riding equipment assessed.
For your comfort and safety it is required that you wear riding breeches, jodhpurs or long pants; boots or shoes with a heel of ¼ - ½” and a riding helmet with harness, to the correct safety standard. We regret that trainers and bicycle helmets are not acceptable.
The duration of lessons, unless otherwise stated, is 45 minutes. Lessons are conducted only by our qualified instructors and the facilities are not available to visiting instructors other than those conducting lessons or clinics organized by Cedar Crest Farm. Riders with their own horses are welcome to ship in for lessons.

LECTURES
Lecture programs are available from time to time and individual lectures can be booked privately.
Cancellation Policy
Please note that lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to the full charge. This rule will only be waived in the event of travel difficulties caused by serious weather conditions or in the case of a medical problem when a medical certificate must be produced.
Young Riders
Although it is very much our wish to encourage young riders, it is not envisaged that we will have sufficient small horses and/or ponies to offer an extensive youth program. However, individuals for whom we have a suitable mount may take lessons with regular staff members at a reduction of $10 per rider over the adult prices. This reduction does not apply to young rider lessons with senior staff members.
Lesson Discounts
Clients are welcome to pre-purchase blocks of ten lessons that attract a discount of 15% for boarders and 10% for non-boarders. The block of lessons must be used within 14 weeks of the date of purchase.
Hire of Horses
Subject to availability and suitability, horses can sometimes be hired for competitions.

(Off-site events are subject to the normal vanning charges.)
